Esteem Learning Center, an Abuja-based school, started using SAFSIMS to make administrative work easier. The software helped each teacher save about 10 hours a week on paperwork. It also improved record-keeping, sped up result processing, and made talking to parents much simpler.

Mrs. Samiat Olanigan Dabiri, the ICT teacher and Software Coordinator at Esteem Learning Center, shared her thoughts on the school’s experience with SAFSIMS. She highlighted how the system transformed their administrative tasks, making them faster and more efficient. Her insights gave a clear picture of how SAFSIMS helped both teachers and students at the school.

Before SAFSIMS, the school was using a software that was slow and stressful, especially during exams (name withheld). Teachers often worked extra hours to handle results and other admin tasks. It was a tiring and frustrating process for everyone.

As Mrs. Dabiri recalled, “I remember during the exam period, I had to come to school early and close late. It was very stressful.”

The Problem

The school needed a way to:

  1. Cut down time on admin tasks.
  2. Make record-keeping faster and more accurate.
  3. Improve communication with parents.
  4. Simplify result processing and distribution.

So, when Esteem Learning Center started using SAFSIMS, it was mainly for its record-keeping features. They focused on:

  1. Processing exam results.
  2. Tracking student attendance.
  3. Giving parents online access to results.

The Impact of SAFSIMS on the School

Teachers saw a huge drop in time spent on admin tasks. Mrs. Dabiri happily said, “Made this one at one click. You get your results done.” This boost in efficiency saves each teacher around 10 hours each week, giving them more time to focus on teaching and planning lessons.

SAFSIMS improved the school’s record-keeping capabilities. Mrs. Dabiri stated, “For the aspect of the record-keeping, I will say excellent.” She elaborated, “When it comes to continuous assessment tests, all the skills, all the exams, all the assessment is being done on the platform.”

The introduction of online result access significantly improved parent communication. Mrs. Dabiri noted, “Now, in fact, the parents can print even the previous results. Of course, they can go online and check.” This change was well-received by parents. As Mrs Dabiri reported, “We have feedback from parents saying that they love it. So anytime they need it, it’s there.”

The shift to digital result distribution helps them reduce the cost of paper and printing. Mrs. Dabiri confirmed, “Now we have stopped printing out the results,”

The implementation of SAFSIMS at the Esteem Learning Center has significantly reduced the administrative workload for teachers, saving an estimated 10 hours per week for each teacher. Mrs. Dabiri summed up the impact: “It’s a great improvement for us.” The overall effect has been overwhelmingly positive, with the school continuing to explore and implement additional features of SAFSIMS to further improve efficiency.
